Step inside the world of Imperial Japanese small arms with Arms of the Rising Sun, a 12-month collector's calendar featuring high-resolution photography of Japanese military firearms from the late 19th century through the Second World War.

Each month showcases a different firearm or distinctive detail—from finely preserved markings and mechanical features to the overall character of these historic weapons. Rather than simply presenting a full firearm each month, the calendar uses close-up photography and carefully composed images to highlight the details that collectors and historians appreciate.

Featuring rifles, carbines, pistols, and other Japanese military arms, Arms of the Rising Sun is designed for collectors, historians, military enthusiasts, and anyone fascinated by Japan's military history.

The calendar was researched, authored, and designed by Patrick Phillips, author of Tobacco of the Emperor and Medals of the Emperor. Much of the photography was generously provided by Historic Investments LLC, whose support was instrumental in bringing this project to life.

This project was created as a celebration of Japanese military history and the people who preserve it. A portion of proceeds from the sale of each calendar will be used to support historical preservation and research.
